Is WD-40 Good for Sliding Doors?

Hi everyone,

I have a sliding glass door that has been sticking and making a squeaky noise whenever I open or close it. WD-40 is often recommended, but I’m not sure if it’s the right choice for sliding doors, especially the tracks.

Will it help the door glide smoothly, or could it cause more problems, like attracting dust and dirt? Are there better alternatives, like silicone spray or graphite powder?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has tried WD-40 on sliding doors or has recommendations for proper lubrication.

Thanks!
