Policy Watch Inside the latest government VAT rate decision Ukraine?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been keeping a very close eye on the recent government VAT rate decision Ukraine that was discussed this May. It looks like the Ministry of Finance is negotiating with the IMF to potentially postpone a major reform that would require individual entrepreneurs (like many of us in the online retail space) earning over UAH 4 million to register for the standard 20% VAT.

While the EU Directive 112 makes this change inevitable as part of the National Revenue Strategy, the latest buzz is that the implementation might be pushed back to 2027.

I’m inquisitive to know how you are factoring this into your long-term business planning. Are you preparing to transition to the full VAT system now, or are you hoping for further delays? Keeping our businesses professional and established means staying ahead of these legislative curves!

Thanks in advance. 1
